Cpu stuck at 100+% while editing /etc/hosts on mac

#1

Every time i do open /etc/hosts in sublime the cpu goes past 100% and stays there for a few minutes.

Closing the window has no affect on the cpu, the only option i have is to close sublime.

The indexing status page shows status idle so it’s not that and i’m pretty sure that the have no packages installed.

Do you guys have any idea what is going on and how to stop it?

Sublime: 3.2.2, build 3211
macOS 10.14.6
Macbook pro 15" early 2019

Can’t reproduce this using sudo subl /etc/hosts. Have you tried reverting to a freshly installed state?
