Could not compile

#1

Hi,
I have been working on a document for severals days, it always worked.
Suddenly why I try to compile I get the following message:

*TraditionalBuilder: Invoking latexmk…

COULD NOT COMPILE!

Attempted command:latexmk -cd -e $pdflatex = ‘pdflatex -interaction=nonstopmode -synctex=1 %S %O’ -f -pdf 1.tex
Build engine: Traditional Builder*

Is it possible that updating my macbook is causing this problem?

Since no one else has answered yet, I will speculate. You asked whether updating your macbook could be causing this problem. What have you updated? If you have updated to El Capitan and your build tools were installed into /usr but not /usr/local then I believe El Capitan no longer allows this and that could cause your problem. Alternatively, your update may have changed the default path for finding executables. It’s difficult to say without more info.
