Constant Upgrade Notices

#1

I am using Sublime Text 3.1.1 and every time it loads it prompts me to upgrade. If I do upgrade then it restarts sublime text and then immediately prompts me to upgrade again.

How can I use sublime text without these constant upgrade notices?

This implies the upgrade failed to apply. What platform are you on?

Check your Applications folder to see if you have a second copy of Sublime Text with a build number after the name? E.g. “Sublime Text (3176).app”.

I do not, just the regular ole’ sublime text

I’d try deleting the Sublime Text.app and install a fresh copy of 3200 then. Something is preventing the upgrader from moving things around to install the new version.

I can confirm what @wbond has said. You can tell which build is installed by the size & modified date of the application:

Build 3176: size of 33.4 MB & modified date of May 13, 2018 at 6:18 PM
Build 3200: size of 43.6 MB & modified date of March 13, 2019 at 1:27 AM
