Console on Linux systems

Hi all,
somehow I’m unable to open the sublime console with the keyboard shortcut on my Linux system. I’m also having an installation on a Windows system, where everything works without any problem.

After I have opened the console via the menu option, I’m also able to manipulate it with the keyboard combination. So it seems to be the initial request that is failing.

I’m on a Fedora 30 system using a US international keyboard layout.

Is there anything I’m doing wrong or could it be a setting. Thanks in advanced.

Is the Linux machine a VM? I’ve run into this issue before with VMWare. I presume it is some sort of keyboard mapping issue.

No, the system is not in a VM. The weird thing is, that it is working after triggered first through the menu.

It also seems, that it is only working if the menu is visible.
