Comma in Find path

#1

Dear Support,

I’m trying to run the “Find in Files” function on a folder wich contains a comma “,” in the name:

Z:\Regulations, Documents\bla bla bla, *.txt

the problem is that the comma is interpreted as a separator between the path and the filter

Z:\Regulations:
ERROR: Unable to open file

0 matches

So I used quotes:

“Z:\Regulations, Documents\bla bla bla”, *.txt

but the find looks for the string in the documents opened in the editor, not in the documents on filesystem!

Is there any chance to run a find in files where a comma is present in the path?

Best Regards,

Mario

Thanks for the info. Before posting I ran a “find” in the forum to avoid a double post but I didn’t see this. Sorry.

Mario.

P.S. at least we know that the issue happens also on Windows.

Hi there, I came out with a work around; you can share the folder and Map it as a Network Drive.

That way you can connect it with a Drive unit and this doesnt have a comma in path.

Sorry for my bad English but hope it helps.
