Closing tabs with middle mouse button closes 2 tabs instead of 1

#1

Hey!

I am trying to switch from Atom to Sublime Text 3.
One of the last things that bugs me is that when I use the middle mouse click to close tabs in the editor, Sublime closes two tabs in the same pane instead of one. These tabs are adjacent to each other.

I suspect it might be an issue with Sublime registering 2 “close tab” events from the middle mouse click. This behavior does not appear in other code editors I have used and thus should not be an OS issue.

I was wondering if anyone else has this issue, and if so, has someone figured out how to override the configuration or remap the event somehow.

Also, I am aware of closing tabs with keyboard shortcuts, but since I am using the Trackpoint on a Thinkpad to move the mouse, I would really love to be able to use the middle click functionality as described.

Thank you in advance and I look forward to your help!
