If you give more context, you may get better help. Otherwise, I don’t think you want a general “nonsense” solution like

• You have the delete key on your keyboard right?
• Make a custom Python plugin.
• Regex replacement.

It’s possible the file you’re working in has the wrong syntax selected. You can change the selected syntax either by clicking the syntax name at the far right of the Status bar at the bottom of the app or by using the menus View -> Syntax.
