Hello,
I’m on Debian and solution here (Certificate verification failed) doen’t work.
After successful commands about PGP Cert (by manually downloading https://download.sublimetext.com/sublimehq-pub.gp and sudo apt-key add sublimehq-pub.gpg -->OK), apt-get update always return
Err:17 https://download.sublimetext.com apt/stable/ Release
Certificate verification failed: The certificate is NOT trusted. The certificate chain uses expired certificate. Could not handshake: Error in the certificate verification. [IP: 104.236.0.104 443]

Could you help me please ?

Considering that it’s working for the vast majority of people it’s certainly a configuration problem with your system. The linked askubuntu page has a number of other suggestions for possible causes including having the date/time set incorrectly.

I ended up adding [trusted=yes] and change from https to http on /etc/apt/sources.list.d/sublime-text.list

deb [trusted=yes] http://download.sublimetext.com/ apt/stable/

Then do apt update
