Can't use quotes anymore

#1

When I press the quotes key, instead of a quote I get a diacritic. Outside Sublime I can still output quotes.
I’ve reinstalled Sublime, and both tried Sublime 2 and 3.

What to do?

What happens if you do the following?

  1. Open Sublime Text 3
  2. Go to the View menu -> Show Console
  3. Type sublime.log_input(True) and press Enter
  4. Press the key combination to produce a quote

For me it outputs:

chr evt: " (0x22)

It outputs:

chr evt: ¨ (0xa8)

What OS are you using?

Linux, though few hours back it still worked. Also, in other editors and linux itself it is working.

could it be that a different keyboard layout is somehow actively persisting for Sublime Text? maybe try rebooting…
