Can't Save, Save As, Open Please help

Hello, I’m using Mac OSX Mavericks at home and I just started to use sublime text 2 at work (work computer = PC w/ win8). I downloaded Sublime Text2 for my home computer (my good old macbook recently clean installed Mavericks) and I realized I can’t Open any files from Sublime Text, I can’t Save new file, I can’t Save As… The only way to open a file is to right click on the file and “Open With” Sublime Text2. Once I open a file that way, I can save it with command + s but I cannot start a new file or save as… I’m really frustrated and don’t know what to do.

When I click Save/Save As (or command + s) on a new file, absolutely nothing happens. no pop up, no prompt, no warning, no error… Is anyone else having this problem? I’m working on html files for sublime text right now. I just downloaded Sublime Text 3 beta to see if that will work but nothing… Please help…

Are there any errors in the ST console?

Hi skuroda,

how do I know if there are any errors in the console? I’m not exactly sure what you mean by sublime text console… I do apologize if this is dumb I’m very new to sublime text or just programming/text editor in general…

skuroda, I should’ve done more research before writing that post… So I found that you can go to View and Show Console which opens up a console on the bottom.
Right now it shows

reloading plugin Css.css_completions
reloading plugin Diff.diff
reloading plugin HTML.encode_html_entities
reloading plugin HTML.html_completions
plugins loaded

Does this mean anything?
Is it a possibility that my Mavericks install went wrong?
I’m also having issue with Google Chrome browser where whenever I try to downloading anything, the browser just freezes… I have not found anyone having the same issue yet…
