Can't install/run siblime on ubuntu 16.04

#1

I’m trying to install sublime on my ubuntu machine. Deb file opened with software center rises window with Install button, which seems like does nothing.
I tried sudo dpkg -i sublime-text_build-3103_amd64.deb with following output

Selecting previously unselected package sublime-text.

Preparing to unpack sublime-text_build-3103_amd64.deb ...

Looks like something is happening, but I can’t find sublime in my system. Am I doing wrong something?

The output of dpkg does not indicate that something went wrong.
On my ubuntu 16.04 sublime is installed as /usr/bin/subl
Please note that the name of the executable is subl and not sublime.

I’ve found this on path => /usr/share/applications/ , and search for sublime-text
Hope this can help you :slightly_smiling:
