Cannot run ST3 3180 /lib64/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.14' not found

Hi,
I installed ST3 build 3180 locally (i.e., under my home directory) at work on a Linux terminal server. However when i run subl i get the following errors; ST3 window won’t even open.
/sublime_text_3/sublime_text: /lib64/libc.so.6: version GLIBC_2.14' not found (required by <my home dir>/sublime_text_3/sublime_text) <my home dir>/sublime_text_3/sublime_text: /lib64/libc.so.6: versionGLIBC_2.15’ not found (required by /sublime_text_3/sublime_text)

I don’t see this problem with build 3176.

Please note that i don’t have root access.

Build 3200 in RHEL 6 missing GLIBC_2.15

Reproducible on RHEL 6.8. I am also trying to run the tarball out of my home directory; I don’t have the ability to install Sublime Text via the package manager.
