Cannot launch Sublime Text Mac OS X El Capitan

#1

I was enabling the spell-checker in the User settings file, and then when I saved, Sublime shut down. It wouldn’t reopen. I thought I was screwed so I uninstalled it (dragged from Applications to trash, emptied trash), and redownloaded, reinstalled the app straight from the Sublime text website. It still won’t launch. I’ve restarted my computer many times throughout the process.

Note: there is no “Sublime Text” directory in /Library/Application Support.

Anyone have any ideas?

The forum post below might have some information that will help you on this.

Note that under MacOS, the data directory is /Users/yourUsername/Library/Application Support/Sublime Text 3 ;that is to say, it’s not the path that you specified above, it’s specific to your user and not to the system in general. That might be why you can’t find it (and why it persists even when you uninstall the application).

Thank you so much! I was looking in the wrong place the whole time. I’m sure I can figure it out from here.
