Since a recent update to either macOS or Sublime Text 3, I can no longer deselect text by clicking away consistently. The only way I can deselect text is to use an arrow button or similar. This is really frustrating, and I’m not seeing this behavior in other editors (e.g., Intellij, text pad apps).
Is there a setting I can use to adjust this behavior? I frequently edit multiple lines and use Sublime Text to copy/paste multiple lines of text for editing, and this is driving me nuts.

Edit: I’m not using any extra packages, etc. Vanilla Sublime.
