Can I reinstall Sublime without losing theme?

#1

Is it possible for me to reinstall Sublime, without losing the custom theme I have installed? I don’t remember the name of the theme so it would take me ages to find it again

Hello,

With “theme”, do you mean color scheme? If yes, then going to “Preferences -> Settings — User”, then searching for color_scheme, should tell. Ex for me it is "Packages/Monokai Extended/Monokai Extended Bright.tmTheme", which means the color scheme is “Monokai Extended Bright”. You have to keep the name of the tmTheme file, for the color scheme name, and its owning directory name, here “Monokai Extended”, will tell which package provides this color scheme (there may be multiple color schemes in a single package).

The problem is that my Sublime will no longer start, which is why I want to reinstall it.

Is there any way to see my currently installed color scheme without starting Sublime? I’m on IOS.

I have looked for the following folder: ~/Library/Application Support/Sublime Text 3/
But I do not have a Sublime folder in my Application Support folder.

For me, the direct path to this file is ~/.config/sublime-text-3/Packages/User/Preferences.sublime-settings. While on MacOSX, there is certainly no ~/.config/, after Basic Concepts (sublimetext.info), for you, this indeed should be ~/Library/Application Support/Sublime Text 3/Packages/User/Preferences.sublime-settings. If you don’t have this file and folders, I’m afraid nothing can be done and may be Sublime Text does not start because the installation is really broken.

Anyway, there is not that much color schemes available, so you may simply test each one by one, after you reinstalled Sublime Text ; should be feasible.
