It would be nice to have an option to bypass commit hooks. (--no-verify). There are some projects I work on that have extremely legacy pre-commit hooks that no one has bothered to remove/fix. In SourceTree, I can bypass these hooks to commit and push, but in Sublime Merge I cannot.
