Built-in settings sync

Hi, I would like for a built-in settings synchronisation option instead of having to use plugins or to manually make copies.

I use several different devices and would not like to constantly have to update all of them every time I make a small change

I, and I believe many people backup their setting on GitHub or other git hosts (may be private). And that way also benefits from having version control for settings.

What would be the expected solution in your imagination?

  • Do your machine have git installed? Do you against install git? Should ST bundled with git?
  • Should ST implement account management and backup on SublimeHQ’s infra? (I don’t think this will happen)
  • Or what?

Honestly, I don’t think syncing is more important than Package Control, which is not builtin.
