This is the screenshot i got from ubuntu 12 unity desktop 64bit
as you can see, the scrollbar don’t show
the tab bar, etc…

Most likely you don’t have a theme installed. Open preferences file and search for: “theme”: *.
You can either remove that line or install the missing theme.

oh, yes
a invalid theme entry listed on there.
remove it and back to normal.
weird problem installing soda dark theme.
