Bug in 3095 regarding TAB / POS1 usage

#1

Hi,

I am using Sublime Text 3 Build 3095 on Linux (Manjaro) and think that I found a bug.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. start subl3
  2. hit the TAB key -> cursor jumps to column 5
  3. hit POS1 -> cursor jumps to column 0
  4. hit the TAB key again -> cursor jumps to column 5
  5. hit the POS1 key again -> cursor jumps to column 9 (!)
    Expected behaviour: cursor should jump to column 0

Now, if I continue this game the cursor jumps further and further…

This seems to be a bug. Can anyone confirm this strange behaviour?

Best wishes,
Klaus

Expected behavior. Press POS1 again to move to the “readl” beginning of the line. If you are before the first non-whitespace character (or EOL), POS1 will move you to it. If you are somewhere in the line, POS1 will also move you to the first non-whitespace character (or EOL). If you are exactly at the first non-whitespace character (or EOL), POS1 moves to hardbol, the hard beginning of the line.
