Background:
SM Build: 1070

I started using SM today and noticed an oddity: It asks me to set Name & Email before committing changes. I find this odd because those items are set in my global config file: ~/.gitconfig.
In fact, when I did set the Name & Email (I did this after I clicked the Stash Options button), I verified my ~/.gitconfig file was modified. It was; I removed the tabs that were there with spaces, but now they’re back.
I then when about my business and opened up another repository. I wanted to see if SM read in my git commit message. I modified a file, staged it, and went to commit it… I was again asked to set Name & Email.
Potential Bug?
I then clicked Help > Debug Information and copied the contents to a new file. I scanned the contents to find my global git config contents.
What additional information can I provide?
Follow-up: I attempted to commit my changes, setting my Name & Email again, but my changes are not committed. I attempted again, and was, again asked for my Name & Email. I was using the mouse instead of keyboard shortcuts, if that matters.
