Autocompletion popup in 3.2 on Linux flickers

After upgrading to 3.2 on Linux (tested on Manjaro and Ubuntu) the autocompletion popup flickers. I’m not able to use it and need to click somewhere else in the text to stop this annoying behaviour.

Any hints to what could be the reason?

Have you tried a fresh install with no plugins?
