Auto update not working?

This is the 2nd day that I’ve got a notification telling me an update is available - but as far as I was aware Sublime Text had previously just been auto updating? Is there some sort of issue with auto updates?

Yesterday I re-installed Sublime Text manually. I removed my Ubuntu store version and installed via apt-get instead to ensure I was on the latest. However that obviously didn’t fix the auto-updating.

I’m on Ubuntu 20.04.5 LTS using Sublime Text 4142 currently.

ST 4143 was released within the last few hours. If you’re using apt then you should get the update next time you do an apt update.

Is there a better way to install it to enable auto-updating on launch? If not, is there an easy way I can suppress the auto-update dialog?

The checkbox for disabling update checks is in the screenshot you posted. I wouldn’t suggest using a different update mechanism on Linux.
