Auto-clear recent files list on exit

I am working on a system I share with others, so I would like to have the recent file list (open recent) clear on exit. I have tried several settings, but the list only clears with manual “clear items” in the menu.

Settings I have tried:

There isn’t a way to do this. At best you could clear the session after you’re finished using your computer, or manually clear the items in the menu.

Afaik, there is a command for clearing recent files. Create a plugin and instead of clearing on exit, clear it on start of ST.
