Atomic save disabled but still creating tmp files

#1

Sublime Text 3, build 3065
Windows 7

I have turned off atomic save in the settings, but I am still plagued with tmp files for every file I save. If I right-click the filename in the sidebar it automatically shows up in the tabs at the top of ST3. Then I select ‘delete’. The tab remains open in preview mode and prompts me to save the file when I try to close the tab. If I delete the file through Windows Explorer, it simply disappears from the sidebar.

I can’t see anything in any of the plugin settings that relate to this. These plugins include SidebarEnhancements and Advanced New File. I tried removing these two, but no change. Other posts discussed the GIT plugin causing issues. I don’t have it installed.

My Linux partition is out of commission for now, so I can’t test anything there. But I’d be very surprised if the OS had anything to do with this.

Any ideas on how I can stop this annoyance? I don’t need Atomic Save and am tired of having to manually delete these tmp files.

Thanks in advance!

I’ve never seen this on OS X or Linux. I don’t currently use Sublime Text on Windows.
