Is ST2 still widely used? Are you still supporting ST2, or is ST3 sufficient?

ST2 is no longer supported by sublimehq and more and more plugin authors have dropped support for it.

The only one who might be able to give some information about the usage of ST2 might be @wbond by checking the Package Control usage stats.

For 2019, the break down in percentage of users using Package Control with a range of Sublime Text builds:

  • 2.x - 0.5%
  • 3 beta (releases before 3.0) - 4.1%
  • 3.0 (plus dev builds before 3.1) - 2.7%
  • 3.1 (plus dev builds before 3.2) - 16.7%
  • 3.2 (plus dev builds since) - 76%

In short, don’t waste any of your time worrying about Sublime Text 2 in any way.
