Because ST uses a custom text rendering engine, mixing LTR and RTL text is complicated, and the market for right-to-left languages is small, that is highly unlikely, so don’t hold your breath.

I am not sure about whether it is a question of market size.
The last official statement from sublimehq about this topic just was that supporting mixed RTL and LTR means to rewrite nearly the whole text layout engine, which sounds like reinventing Sublime Text.

Well, if it was important to a lot of people and would sell a lot more copies I’m sure they would do it. Unless it has some sort of “cool” factor they enjoy, why would they do it otherwise?
ST is a business, after all.
