Any way to increase drag scroll speed?

Is there any way to increase the scroll speed when highlighting blocks of text? For example, if the file I’m working with is very long and I want to select an area of text that spans multiple “pages”, I begin by selecting the first part of the text and dragging the mouse to the bottom of the screen which causes the editor window to scroll down as it highlights, this is the scroll speed I’d like to increase.

I tried setting scroll_speed in my user preferences, but that didn’t seem to have any effect on this.

What about clicking where you want to start, and then scrolling normally, and then shift+clicking at the end?

Thanks for the reply! That works fine and is what I’ve been having to do as a workaround, was just curious if there were any other solutions to actually increasing the drag speed.

Surely there has got to be a way. My scroll speed is rediculously slow…
