I would like the ability to amend any previous commit with a new commit message, without having to change files for Sublime Merge to show me the amend commit option. Currently the commit button only shows up if you have files changed in your working directory, so I can’t amend just the commit message in Sublime Merge.

FYI you can also choos “Edit Commit/Edit Commit Message” in the commit context menu. You can also get there by pressing Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter on Mac) when the commit mesage has input focus.
