All plugins stopped working

#1

was editing a large file the other day, and got an error about a plugin. Now none of my plugins work at all. Wish I had copied the error. Anything I can try short of reinstalling sublime?

If it was plugin_host that crashed then you just have to kill and restart sublime to make it works again.

yes that was the one that crashed! I’ve killed and restarted sublime but they still don’t work. What else could I try?

If you continue to see the error about plugin_host after restarting then it’s a plugin crashing it, so, you’ll just need to start removing or ignoring them until you find the culprit.

How many times you saw that alert? only the first time or every time you open ST?

If, like subhaze said, you keep getting the plugin_host crash alert upon restart, then follow his hint:
put all installed package under “ignored_packages” in User Preferences.sublime-settings, restart st and see if the message pops again, if it doesn’t, start removing all ignored packages one by one and see which one is causing the problem…

If you saw it only once, and you are under OSX, don’t mean to teach anything, but just closing ST windows doesn’t quit the app, you have to quit it for real (cmd+click on the dockbar and “Quit” or “Force Quit”)…
