After updating to 3.2 jumps to top of the file after file reload

Whenever the file is updated on the disk, sublime jumps to the start of the file, rather than retaining it’s cursor position.

This is only since updating to 3.2

It’s really frustrating as I have background code linters.

this is a known regression

Issue: If a not focused view file is reloaded, its scroll position is reset near to the beginning of its file

So does that mean it will be fixed?
