Adding Hayaku to Material Theme Sublime Text 3 Build 3114

#1

Hi Guys!
Recently a friend promoted your product as being he best…I felt compelled to give it a try…
I have looked at loads of different threads about adding packages etc and what others recomend to install to get the best out of Sublime…

I loved the look of Material Theme, so I started my journey there.

I have only added the Material Theme - Appbar, Package Control, and Hayaku - tools for writing CSS faster…

My problem is when I try to run the “Fuzzy commands” everyone is talking about none of them work?

Out of the box with the Material Theme and probably Sublime Text 3’s settings I can write:
C and get

I have then added Hayaku and added the following to my user settings as recommended
“auto_complete_selector”: “source - comment, meta.tag - punctuation.definition.tag.begin”

Now if I write:
C for color I get as before…
It would appear something is overriding the settings?

Is there anyone familia with the Material theme and Hayaku on Build 3114 and can tell me what is missing from my user settings file…
Then I would be very grateful…

No threads anywhere I have seen say anything ablout adding info to user settings to make this workd…

Thanks!

Hi guys!
I am now going to admit to being a bit stupid…
The package works perfectly…
It does help to actually save your test doc as .css first before trying the Fuzzy Command…
Not a good start but we all make mistakes and I don’t mind admitting my error…

Glad you sorted out your problem!

As an aside, you can set the syntax for a new file without saving it (can be handy for scratch files you want to experiment with without saving, for example):

  • The right most part of the status bar (which probably says Plain Text for a new file) shows you what the current syntax is. You can click it to bring up a menu to change the syntax for the current file.
  • The same menu from above is also available under View > Syntax in the menu
  • If you open the command palette (Tools > Command Palette... in the menu or Ctrl+Shift+p for Windows/Linux or ⌘+Shift+P on MacOS), commands are available there to change the syntax, in the form of Set Syntax: Name, so you could type setsyn as a start to filter to the syntax commands.

Happy Sublime-ing! :slightly_smiling:
