Accidentally closed a tab without saving

#1

Hello, I accidentally closed a tab without saving it. So I did a quick google research and found out that it could be found in “Auto Save Session.sublime_session” or “Session.sublime_session” but unfortunately I am not able to open these files. I tried to open them in Sublime but it is so messy. Is there any way to reformat/restore it?

Session information is stored in a JSON format and is indeed not for the faint of heart, but Sublime automatically loads them when it starts.

That said, Autosaved session data, regular Session data and Project workspace data (all of which are more or less identical and do the same thing) store the state of closed windows so that the state of the window can be recalled.

Closing just a tab doesn’t get persisted anywhere; in a case like that the unsaved content would be lost.
