Accessibility hooks

#1

Windows, Linux and Mac do have magnifiers for the visually impaired.
These magnifiers can follow a moving cursor/carret. This enables the visually impaired to type with a high magnification and always have the cursor/carret in the center of the screen and thus can see what they type, otherwise as more words are typed the cursor/carret would move out of the magnified area and not be visible anymore.

For this to work Sublimetext would have to expose the cursor position to the standard Accessibility Hooks of the Operating System as most Software Products do.

It seems Sublimetext does not do this and thus hinders the visually impaired from working efficiently.

How can this be activated?

We don’t currently have any accessibility support.

a) Is A11y Support planned for future releases?
b) Do you know of any Plugin which at least exposes the cursor position if no other A11y Support is available?

No support is currently planned. Not aware of any plugins, but can’t say I’ve looked either.
