A little question about Timestamp

#1

Hello,

Vim user moving to ST2 here. I was using a very simple Vim plugin that would add a time stamp next to “Created: TIMESTAMP” and another (updated automatically every time the file is changed) next to “Last Modified: TIMESTAMP”. The script is here: is.gd/LhEgJY12

Has anybody seen similar functionality for ST2, and/or whether it would be possible to implement such a thing?

Thanks.

The InsertDate package lets you insert the current date in a variety of ways and should do what you want.

Note that Sublime Text 2 is no longer officially supported, doesn’t work properly on recent versions of MacOS, and there are plans to drop support for it in PackageControl as well (though the timeline on that is currently unknown/in flux). Unless you have a really compelling reason to use ST2, it’s highly recommended to use ST3 instead.
