97.01% of CPU time spent in libglib g_list_index when scrolling

#1

I am tracking down why after having 10-20 days of uptime sublime text slows to a crawl on large projects. I profiled the application and all the symbols are not available of course but when scrolling g_list_index is taking up 97.01% of the cpu, basically i have around 1-2 second lag everytime i use my scrollwheel.

When I scroll the sublime_text process uses 99% of the CPU usage of 1 core, and its the sublime_text process not plugin_host.

The solution, kill sublime text completely and restart it. But this is annoying when you already have 4+ windows open and everything loaded where you want it positioned.

Which version of Sublime Text are you running? And which version of glib/gtk?

Sublime Text build 3211
GTK 3.0 and 2.0 installed
libglib 3.36

This issue has been around for a while tho. I hacked around it by spawning isolated sublime texts now.

Have you tried reverting to a freshly installed state?
