<0x00><0x00><0x00><0x00> Appended to end of file

If I save my file and then switch tabs to another file and then switch back these characters are appended to the end of the file: <0x00><0x00><0x00><0x00>
Not realizing it had appended these characters I saved the file and found that it also saves those characters in the file.

Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6
Sublime Text Build 3156

It seems you could have some bugged package installed. How often can you reproduce this?

Can you reproduce this after reverting to a clean install?

Don’t save to a samba share, this is a long standing MacOS bug
