Writing Unicode characters on Linux

#1

Normally, to write this kind of chars, ö ó ñ, on Linux, you can press Ctrl+Shift+U+code of the character.

In particular, ö is Ctrl+Shift+U+F6, and in ST2 whenever I press F it opens the Find panel (triggered with Ctrl+F). Is this really wanted?

I suggest for ST2, whenever the combination Ctrl+Shift+U is pressed, to forget about all the other hotkeys.

Just in case you still have this problem I restored normal unicode input by disabling (commenting) the Ctrl+Shift+U binding in the global preferences.
By doing so the normal linux input kicks in allowing to type ctrl+shift+u then f6 and space to get ö.
I hope this helps!
