Updating to Sublime Text 3 lost all my files!

#1

Just now I rebooted my computer. When I tried to open Sublime Text 2, I got a message saying it had “expired” and I should install version 3.

I installed version 3… and now all my unsaved files are missing. Previously I had just relied on the autosave feature to continuously save my files, and this worked even with a reboot. I am not even sure where to look for those files now.

Please help! What should I do next?

I found the session file in %APPDATA%\Sublime Text 2\Settings\ but I can’t open it. I just get the same error: “this build of Sublime Text has expired, please update to a newer one.”

I am using Windows 7 (64-bit). Thanks.

I successfully found my files by manually replacing the new session file with the old one.

The new file is located in AppData\Roaming\Sublime Text 3\Local. The old file was in AppData\Roaming\Sublime Text 2\Settings. (The locations are not quite the same.)

Wish this had been done by default. Now to try to replace my user preferences…
