Hi,
when ST is started, it indicates that a new update is available. Install it? Sure! But then it tells you to buy an upgrade to ST4. Great! I should have known that before the update! And then the update is supposed to cost 80 Euro…
Not nice!

You can roll back to Sublime Text 3. You are not forced to update. They have acknowledged that they need to improve the upgrade dialog, and they are working on it. Check out the FAQ for information on rolling back etc: Sublime Text 4 Update FAQ.
True, you can rollback but i started to experience issues and Sublime crashed a few times after downgrading.
I was forced to update again to ST4, and yet not paid the license.
Not nice at all, thinking to move to another editor unfortunately
