Unable to save for the first time

Hi there,
Just beeing getting the following error message. (Note that my file is called bootstraptemplate.html)

Unable to save /bootstraptemplate.html
Error: Permission denied

I have a license, which I have removed and then reapplied, but I’m still getting this error.
All of the solutions I have read about suggest changing the file to 'Read and Write" but this is a new file that I have created and have not been able to save in the first place. I changed the sublime text drive to ‘Read and Write’ and still I can’t save.

Any help would be appreciated.

I am having problems not being able to save my coding

Unix based operating systems like MacOS and Ubuntu don't let you save in the root of the file system unless you have special privileges, so trying to save /myfile.html or similar is going to throw a permission denied error. I get the message: Permission denied when trying to save. Just purchased the license for Sublime 3 and it is not working.
