Ubuntu Sublime not evaluating anymore?

#1

So i have a brand new system and wanting to try out Sublime, but it seems to require a license.
The website states that it would be possible to Evaluate, is this a bug?
There is a “enter license” box, clicking that away closes sublime.

Using Ubuntu 17.04 btw

Thanks

The dev channel (https://www.sublimetext.com/3dev) has required a license for a long time, but the beta channel (https://www.sublimetext.com/3) allows free evaluation.

In short, if you want access to the latest and greatest as it is being tested, you have to pay for a license. If you want to trial the app in a fairly stable state, you can do that for free.

Need a key to open
No longer free to evaluate

Ah that might be a good idea to document that somewhere on the Linux download page since that is stated nowhere.
I just installed both repositories without thinking, dev normally means “Development Packages” in the context of a repository or a linux package.

So you might want to update the documentation there.
