It would be fairer to say that everyone was given a big pile of wood and a hammer. Jon just had the brains to build the house.

The other guys were off building boats and bridges is the point.

The thread starter has ignored that GNU Emacs has been breaking the GPL for a while…

BTW, vi has not been developed for about 33 years now and is still used. What does that say about “death”?
