Sublime tries to convert to file encoding to GBK

#1

After saving a few times on the same file, I get the following error:

"Can not convert file encoding to GBK, it was saved as UTF-8 instead:
‘gbk’ codec can’t encode character ‘.xab’ in position 1766: illegal multibyte sequence
2019-06-03%2010_57_42-Sublime%20Text

This happens in many different projects located anywhere on my machine, so this must be sublime related. Any ideas how to solve this issue?

I might be on the wrong track, but Sublime Text does not support GBK. I guess you have ConvertToUTF8 package installed, which tries to encode the file from UTF8 to GBK in the background. If so, this is a package related issue.

I had ConvertToUTF8 installed and it seems to be the culprit, thanks for your help @deathaxe
