Sublime text 2&3 keyboard and mouse issues

Hi, I’m using sublime text on Windows 7 x64, and have tried this with both Sublime Text 2 & 3. The program worked fine until yesterday, and I had been using it every day for several months. All of a sudden, now I cannot place the cursor, select text or even bring up a context menu within the text area with a mouse. With a keyboard, I can type, but I cannot use any function keys, arrow keys or the backspace key. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing it, but with no improvement, and I cannot see anything strange in the console - though I may have missed it. The mouse works fine in closing and opening new tabs, but will not select already present tabs, menu items seem to work fine.

Any help with this would be appreciated, unfortunately this has happened on my laptop at work so I’m having to use a different, less fantastic text editor in the meantime.

Just to update, I’ve also tried to delete the information in appdata, but this doesn’t seem to have made any difference.

Yeah, I’m seeing the same problem on one of my Windows 8 x64 machines. I can select tabs and scroll and select files out of the side bar, but I cannot select text with the mouse.

Actually my problem turned out to be the synaptics touchpad driver. Why it would register clicks in some apps and not ST, I have no idea. But updating the driver to the reference driver on their site fixed it.

Has anyone found a fix for this? I’m running Windows 7 64 bit, and cannot use my mouse to navigate my files. Keyboard all the way. So frustrating.

I updated my synaptics driver, and that didn’t do anything.

Sublime folks, you reading this?

This is the only thread I’ve been able to find where someone else is having the same problem.

My keyboard and mouse don’t function in the text window. I can type normal characters, but several keys including Ctrl, (Alt does work), Backspace, and Enter don’t work. I can’t click in the editor window to locate the cursor or select text either. Right clicking does nothing. However, I can click on tabs, menus, and items outside of the Editor window.

I’ve tried reverting to the default settings, I’ve even uninstalled and re-installed.

Any suggestions on things to try? It was working fine until about 2 weeks ago. I’d given up for a while, but now I’m back at it.

I have the same problem, the problem disappears when I press the windows key, but returned later.

Windows XP 32 Bits Sublime2&3 portable version.
