I downloaded the txt, aff, dic files from here:
And put them to Packages\User in a folder.
I can choose the dictionary in the menu, but it will underline all the words as incorrect even if they are right. Any idea what might I do wrong? When I did this in sublime 3 it worked correctly. Did I forget some more needed setups?

Sry I just answer now, but I still use sublime text 3 on my other laptop without any problem.
These are the files for German. And I think this is exactly how i use it with ST3 on the other notebook:
If it works for you, that means my install might have some problem. Any idea what could be wrong?

In the repository you linked the German_de_DE.dic
is a 4.22MB file, but it’s only 104KB in your screenshot.

It was exactly the problem! If I right click on a file here:
and choose ‘Save link as’ in firefox then it will download a smaller file. I need to click the file first and save it from there then it is fine.
