I am running ST3 build 3012 on Linux.
If I have the sidebar open (the directory tree) and click on a file, I have a really annoying experience. It opens the file preview (with the tab name italicized) and places another entry in the open files. The act of placing the entry in the open files pushes the entire sidebar directory tree down one line, thus my mouse is no longer on the selected file.
I usually want my files opened for real, not in preview mode. So I double-click the file from the sidebar to do this. But my double-click speed isn't fast enough to register the double click before the sidebar is pushed down one line in the act of adding another item to the open files.
So I end up clicking once on the intended file and once on the line above it. This will either open 2 files in preview mode, or open 1 file in preview mode and then collapse the directory tree.
This is driving me crazy. Please fix it.
