ST2 how can i disable indexing?

#1

i using Sublime 2 on OSX 10.6.8 with a big project.
2-5 seconds after i begin to type in a php file with 5000 lines (200kb) sublime starts some background process and this using 100% CPU and so i am unable to type.
i have to wait 2-5 seconds before a typed character appears.
this editor is unusable!
is there a way to disable this background processing?

thanks

Why is Sublime using significant CPU when idle?

You can turn off indexing by adding this setting to your user preferences:

    "index_files": false

thank you.

i solved the problem by reverting all my sublime settings.
therefore, the cpu intensive process was a plugin.
(but i don’t have the time to find out which plugin)
