Selecting Word in one file and have it highlighted in anothr

#1

I was wondering if ST had this functionality already (because my old editor jEdit did)… to be able to select a word (e.g. a CSS class name) in one file (in top pane), and then have that word highlighted in the file (e.g. an HTML file) seen in the bottom pane. I’m trying to clean up some unused class statements.

Ideally it would work on the selected word rather than having to copy that word and then do a Search All in the other pane.

Not exactly what you want but gets you real close…

Top pane, put cursor on word to find, press ctrl+e (ctrl+f3 if you’re using emmet)
ctrl+2 to switch pane, then f3 to find. If one is found, press alt+f3 to find the rest

This sort of thing could be further automated with a simple plugin but I don’t know of one offhand.
