When I want to compare it to another file, I need to split it onto new lines so I run this:
That is, in the "replace with" dialog I type "}" and then press numpad enter.
There's only 485 matching braces, but when I execute the replace, it hangs the program for about 30 seconds before completing.
64-bit Linux version 2144, running on Ubuntu.
