Purpose of Index and cache directory, safe to delete?

#1

I’m using Sublime Text 3.1.1 Build 3176 on windows 7 64bit.

Want to know whether it’s safe to delete the Sublime Text Build 3143 x64\Data\Cache
and Sublime Text Build 3143 x64\Data\Index folders in my installation.

My purpose is to replicate same Sublime setup to another windows 7 PC at my office so I would like to zip this portable sublime installation so that no temporary/unnecessary files/folders are carried over to my office PC.

Other then the above, any suggestions on which other files/folders are safe to be removed without breaking my current sublime setup with all its plugins, themes, color schemes, user (my) data etc intact.

thanks

The Index folder contains all collected symbols from your last session. The Cache contains compiled syntax definitions.

Both will be rebuilt automatically, so it is safe (and sometimes even necessary) to delete them.
